Strengthening of Establishment & Operation of New Tourism SMEs
The Program
The action aims to strengthen entrepreneurship in the field of Tourism, encouraging the creation of new businesses that, in addition to contributing to increasing the potential of the Greek tourism industry, will offer quality and reliable services and contribute to the enrichment of the tourism product, as well as to increase in employment.
The participation of a Natural/Legal Person as a partner is not permitted if it already has a business activity in operation in the KAD (two-digit analysis) of the investment in the same or in another region.
Businesses that will participate in the Action should take care to facilitate access to them for people with disabilities.
Start of Submission of Applications:
18/12/2023 with an end date 29/02/2024
Minimum / Maximum Grant Budget:
80.000€ up-to 400.000€
Grant Rate
45%, which may be increased by:
- 10% if the investment takes place in a remote or earthquake-prone or fire-prone or flood-prone area or small islands
- 5% extra with the declaration when submitting the funding application of the goal of employing at least 1 EME, in the first year after the completion of the investment.
Eligible Businesses
- Class A. Under establishment. Businesses that will be established from the date of issue of the notice of the action until its first disbursement.
- Category B. New members. The term newly established businesses are defined as businesses for which 12 months of continuous operation have not passed (12 months have not passed from the date of the start of the business in the AADE until the date of the announcement of the Action).

- Buildings, facilities and surroundings
- Production and mechanical equipment
- Equipment for environmental protection and energy saving
- Digital office equipment
- Means of Transport – Mandatory electric
- Software and rights to use software programs
- Construction of a website, e-shop, etc
- Software/Application installation and configuration services – User training
- Certification of quality assurance and environmental management systems
- Expenses for the provision of services (technical studies, consulting, support in the field of innovation, etc.)
- Advertising and Outreach Expenses
- Participation in trade fairs
- Indirect costs
The date of commencement of expenditure eligibility is defined as the date of announcement of the action, i.e. 18/12/2023.
Maximum Completion Time
Twenty-four (24) months from the date of issuance of the Approval Decision.
More Information
Investment projects with the "Accommodation" Investment Plan (LOP 55) of the Tourism Sector should follow the following conditions:
MAIN HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
- Hotels
– Classification in category 4**** (four stars) and above.
– Capacity Twelve (12) beds or more. - Hotel tourist accommodation within traditional buildings provided for in the p.d. 33/1979.
- Organized tourist camps (camping) – Classification in category 3*** (three stars) and above.
NON-MAIN HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
- Self Catering Accommodation – Tourist Furnished Homes – Minimum Number of Homes: Three (3)
It is noted: All self-catering accommodation - tourist furnished houses must necessarily be incorporated in the same RTE Mark. - Furnished rooms for rent - apartments
– Classification in category 4 keys and above
– Capacity Twelve (12) beds or more.
